Alright...I finally broke down and signed in here after failing this mission multiple times(Captain Denner, Delivering a New Plan).
I do the initial busywork of running to two different points for no apparent reason, and finally happen upon the decoy shuttle. The first couple of times I tried this, I think I let the shuttle slip outside of 1400m or so...so it panicked and jumped, helpfully telling me mission failed. Ridiculous, but I can live with that...after all, I hadn't quite finished off the four waves of fighters I was supposed to.
"Pilot, that was too easy. The Rebels might scan the wreckage and find the plans but they are never going to velieve them. They are rebellious, no stupid. You are going to need to report back to your commander."
Destroyed? As I recall, the damn thing bailed on me.
The third attempt was the last straw. I stayed within 1100m of the shuttle at all times, fought for about 25 minutes straight. I destroyed not four, but SEVEN fighter waves, and was a mere 500m from the shuttle in middle of the eighth wave when for no reason...yep...jumped out.
"You may have suceeded in getting the Rebels the plans but there is very little chance that they are going to believe they are real. We cannot write this one off as a complete failure but you didn't accomplish what was needed of you. Report back into your commander."
So what was supposed to happen? Are the rebels supposed to destroy me, disable the shuttle, dock with it, and whiz off as if on their own twisted player mission? Exactly what is the goal here? As far as I can see, I more than met the objectives, yet it wasn't counted. Anyone want to tell me what I'm missing here?

For the 4 spawns you have to completely destroy all the ships in one spawn before the next one spawns or else you will fail the mission. So its 4 lots of kill all ships then wait on the next spawn appearing, i found you need a group to do this especially if its A-wings that appear as trying to do them solo is a hard task.

You have to get the message "All enemy fighters have been destroyed" 4 times. Have to CLEAR 4 waves of fighters before the next one comes in.

I completed this mission solo, but only after I found out that each wave of fighters must be completely wiped out before the next wave jumps in.
I flew an interceptor loaded with 2700+ max dmg blasters, a 69.7 engine and 1.6k front/back shields. I also used a flight computer with reactor overload 3, weapon overload 3 and engine overload 3. This typically allowed me to 1-2 shot kill every one of attackers. Once I had this configuration, it was easy to solo this mission.
The 3.4 mission is also easily soloable with this configuration, especially if you use /bstrike1 to draw the fire from the gunboats away from you so you can disable its weapons with relative ease.
On the bright side of having to repeat the 3.2 and 3.3 missions so many times, I was capped out on my XP and instantly trained to 4333 upon arrival at the tier 4 trainer.
Hope this helps.

Also i will add i just solod the last tier 3 mission last night at the first attempt after i decided to try an experiment and use a Tie Bomber instead of the Interceptor and it made a big difference to being able to survive long enough to finish the mission. It may look like a badly designed tank, handle like a tank until you get used to it but with the right weapon load it hits like a battleship.
