Thread: Concering the Nova Courier Imperial Inquistion Mission

This is impossible to be done alone my sir devs. I have a TIE intercepter with a really good looted 76 speed engine. Not to mention 1 K sheilds are 3/2/3/2 and the 1300-1800 damage weapons. AT THE ENd of flying around dathomir having to shoot down endless waves of rebels, (I did this with the help of my friend, those damn a-wings didnt seem to veer off and attack him, the x-wings did, but not the a-wings so basically I had 5 a-wings every 4 minutes on my tail. I get behind 1 4 shots from all of them hit me. We finish that. Then we have to go and "inspect" the nova coureir. Me and my friend actually disabled it. I was waiting for him to come back, when out of the blue it blows up. I am not kidding. ALl that work, 2 seconds later, it blows up. Then it respawns instantly. Kills me and My friend. (we both have interceptors with 2 K of protection (sheilds + armor ) on either side. Down in 3 hits. we were killed. Tier 5 bomber package escorts slain in 1 shot from the nova courier....
the whole package destroyed in 3 perfectly aimed shots.
I mean WHAT THE F*CK?
we just did the whole damn mission and then suddenly it blows up. Then we have to RESTART the mission from the BEGINNING flying BACK to NABOO AGAIN! then Have to do DATHOMIR AGAIN!!! Then Having to do Nova Courier Hell AGAIN! Nothing was shooting at the nova courier. it Just blew the f!ck up. Then It respawns and kills me....and my friend....and my bomber package...5 shots..
a Little *COUGH* hard if you ever intended this to do without having a friend along. I have found it IMPOSSIBLE to do this mission alone. I mean for god sakes.... A NOVA COURIER? At a level 3 Imperial Inquistion Mission? W T F?
Me and my friend the first time then had to race 9 k meters back to dath space station....which can only heal 75% of damage, then zip back and attack the courier...we did this 4 times. and then it blew up. we didnt shoot it "Extra" I was just about to inspect it and then BOOM, blows up, the evil b!tch respawn comes up, kills me, I fail the mission...wohoo..surprise....
*I know you want to make pilot a hard time, but on a Level III Imperial Inquisition Mission...a Nova Courier? and then if you get killed doing this, you must RESTART the entire mission? This is Impossible to do alone. Impossible. and yes we did take out the guns the first time. I may just give up on pilot if you keep doing this...

No sense in whining about it. You on Chimaera? If yes ill help ya get through it if ya want.
But the mission is meant to be a challange... I think it´s great that you can not so easily grind your way up to Master without some help now and then. I did various missions multiple times, not to mention teh Master Mission(s) wich cost me quitte a bad lot of time to finish, cuz you need a big grp for it (well rebels and neutrals do, you imps can solo it if your good.... what does THAT tell you about "fair" missions?

you guys get ties without shields in the beginningNah I mean a Nova courier is hard, I'm just wondering if these were "Intended" to be solo missions, because if they were, I think that they are going a little far, and no i'm on flurry, been playin for 1 year and i'm still better then all my friends...lol I want to go back to rebel, but losing Imperial pilot atm....? I also want my decimator..*sigh* torn between the Nova, Yt-1300, and the Decimator...Any advice on that?
Not the Issue with the Nova exactly, Its the issue that I just went through disbaling that little... and then it blows up for no apparent reason telling me=Ha your scrwd do the entire mission over again!

YT-1300 is the prettiest anyway They all can be fitted with the same equipment, so it´s merely a choice of "wich do i like best".

Im 4/4/4/3 Inqusition and solod every box, it definitely can be done.
You MUST dock quickly after you disable it, all disabled ships blow up before too long. Same thing happened to me first time I did this one.
Your mistake was in waiting for your friend to return from wherever he was, next time inspect and dock immediately after you disable it and you'll be fine.

Also, if it's a Nova with an escort, it makes sense to not disable the engines first but rather the turrets. Let it fly around dumb while you take out the escorts, THEN take out the engines.
Also remember that the Couriers are blind on the underside, so if you can, get your first shots in while coming in on it from the bottom.
Tier 3 seems to be the "grouping tier," while a good portion of Tier 4 can be soloed.

that stands true for Alliance Pilot i had to do my tier 3 boxs with atleast one other person, but on my last tier 3 box i need a yt-1300 and 2 fighters, and i soloed tier 4 with my a-wing

No they dont
The nova has 3 missile launchers, the YT only has 2
Btw, the nova courier NPCs are bugged, they only have a top turret so just stay under em.

I did the Nova Courier by disabling the guns, then the engines, then Docking. The Tier1 X-Wings are not a credible threat to you.
Your last mission is harder. Much harder. And it can be soloed. I did it on the 7th try.
