I just got jtl a few days ago and Im just now getting into customization of my ship.
What's the difference between an ION Cannon and a Blaster? The specs are identical, so is there a big performance difference?

Well, Ion Cannons are *supposed* to damage shields more than armor.
Blasters damage shields and armor equally.
Disruptors are *supposed* to damage armor more than shields.
However, all of the looted ion cannons I've found damage shields and armor with equal effectiveness.
