What would happen if I was a gunner or say... a YT-1300, and they targeted weapon 1 (me) and destroyed it(me) would I die or what happens? Since i've never bin on a turret before.

well if you refer to a PvP situation you better hope your in a flight group or battling another MP ship cause other Player fighters will mop the floor with everyone on board.

However, as for PvE you are quite safe in your little turret. If the ship blows up you'll recieve HAM bar damage as if you were in your own fighter. If you gun is destroyed/disabled in some fashion the cool part about MP is that you can fix the damage from the inside without returning to a station or the ground to repair. Only as long as you or another crew member has the proper repair packs. This is the best part about MP ship becuase they can stay in an engagment area longer if properly crewed without having to return to a station to repair. I think another answer would be that players can not target individual weapons on other players' ships. Therefore aturret on a POB or fighter/gunner ship can not be knocked on purposely, only as random damage.
