A space station that can be used to go inside? What an idea It sounds great, but how does one implement such an idea First off, we need to think what we would want most out of our station. It could have...

  • Shops - anything having to do with sales of items.

I do not worship The Emperor. I merely admire how he used the corruption of the present to create an equally corupt future that was exactly the same, except, this time, he was in charge.

You should have to land your ship inside to get it repaired. Also, why not allow managing ships in the station, that way you dont have to go through 2 loading screens just to add on a new part. Mostly though, I just want to walk around inside the station.

Why make them go inside? How about a feature where you can dock to one of the large arching arms on the sides? I'm guessing there are tunneling hallways or passageways in those areas for working crews. This way, the only 'loading time' would be the docking animation, which isn't loading at all really. This gives our /dock feature more work. A good example of this would be how ships dock with Deep Space Nine. I know it's a different canon, but it is the best example I can think of for you to picture it, plus those space stations have an uncanny resemblance, at least in the arc-arms.

But yes, as for going inside, I'm all about the little shops, mission givers, various NPC's with little stories you can follow. The more little bits of content like that, the better. And for a bigger market like area inside a station... here's a shocker... Centerpoint. How flippin' cool would this be? An easy access place for ship buyers to find shipwrights spamming their wares away. Yeah, lag city, but if it's part of the universe, so be it. Plus it will bring some much needed activity to FedDub.
