but y/p/r (yaw /pitch /roll) is much more important then top speed... If you got a 92.2 with 68 y/p/r you will easily outmanouver a 118.9 engine with lets say 59 y/p/r cuz the more a shippy puts into Speed, the less he can do on y/p/r

In other words, chances are very good that a 118 spd engine is an absolutely awful all around engine... and speed does NOT win in PVP. The ability to turn your guns on your enemy and keep them there does.

Exacly, But this applies just as much in PvE.

In PvP one can not run from annother player anyway, it´s either Stand or fight... or tra to avoid being hit till hyperspace works (and hope you wont be killed whilst hypering itself). The only way one could actually outrun annother player fast enough to leave weapns range before demise, one would have to have the fastest engine with the fastest booster, whilst the enemy player has no booster at all... then and ONLY then you MIGHT be able to outrun annother player...

If you need more help just gimme a /tell ingame or a short private message in here

For some reason I thought the topic was "fastest engine". Not "Why REd engines are better".

For pure speed:
Mark IV - 102.x
Mark V - 118.x

I fly my kryat with an 118 speed 60 PYR engine. In PVE, I have no trouble. I am going to try a 100 speed 71/71/60 PYR Mark V sometime to see if I like it better.

I would not try to PVP with this setup.

So? What difference does it make? The thread starter was unaware that Y/P/R is more important, hence i told him... no harm in that, so don´t whine about it

Lighten up Francis (err, Goraf), you're so defensive of crafted stuff.

We're just enlightening him that looking for speed is only really good for drag racing.
