This Friday's Feature must be huge. I mean, they still haven't detailed the Shipwright and Neutral Pilot, still haven't announced 3 space sectors, and still haven't announced like8 ships...you would THINK that they would announce this stuff BEFORE the game goes live!

they might keep it a secret. an Element of surpise in the game for those that play it to discover. I mean, you dont want EVERYTHING to be revealed to you before launch of the expansion, do you? I mean, thats whats playing it is for, to discover everything.

I'm also expecting a huge Friday Feature coming up. They SAID they were going to reveal the stuff...so of course they decide to make us wait until it's less than a week until it's released, it's typical of the devs, but it DOES keep us interested in the game.

it's all about tension and marketing appeal. Holding out to the last minute keeps people on the edge of their seat, wanting more, wanting to see what stuff is gonna be revealed. If they released it early, people would be like "oh wow, thats cool. Okay I'll just wait for the game now." and they might loose interest over time, because they saw everything already. Wait for the last moment, and the games still on peoples minds, and you trickle some stuff out, a few pictures, an interview from some no name talking about how the sound of the TIE fighter was him banging a barbie doll on a trash can lid, etc. It keeps you interested, hooked, and raises the possibility of you buying it to about 15-25% more then if they just released stuff all at once or early.

I wish they would announce it. That is the only enjoyment I get from JTL since I won't get to play for a few more months. Guess I can wait until after it goes live and they update the pages...
