Eh, I was harsh.
You don't have much chance, but there's hope. Just don't be surprised not to get in.
And keep in mind...I don't know anything.

hehe, I waited 2 months before I signed up on the forums here. So I do not have elder status either. Oh well, things could be worse in life.

Forum registration date doesn't matter. Game elder status is determined by game stats. which you can find under the account tab on the lauchpad

I don't see stats under the accounts tab in the launchpad. Am I missing something? I have been playing this game almost every day since launch so I was wondering how you obtain elder or even veteren status.

Currently I don't think anyone knows the chances of getting into the BETA. Even with people who've been with SWG since release, we don't know that chances of getting in. The only way to know for sure of getting into the BETA was to go to the FanFest, which is a total rip for people like me who can't afford to go.

Because a beta means testing, and finding out your stride as well before actual release.
Plus, beta testers get to know all the cool secrets before release.
Ehh.. this is directed at the guy saying why beta

Hmm...wonder if they'll consider people that played in July-September, quit, came back in December and have continued playing?
