Thread: Why hasn't the NDA been lifted ?

The reason for the NDA has nothing to do with the game lacking. It is that the devs want to avboid having to deal with complaints every time they change somthing.

For every single update/change that has been made, there are always posts calling the devs liars and claiming that "all of swg will fail". Really, can you think of a publish that has not had this? Even when publish 4 came out introducing player cities and mounts, there were dozens of people saying how badly they were made.

It has nothing to do with the game sucking, although removal of the NDA would be nice.

Oh, and remember, the beta discs are valid until september 22 11:59 pm.

So it may be removed on saturday.

how did player cities ruin SWG? its one of the most inventive things in any MMORPG. you know how many MMORPG players were dieing for the real ability to run a player made city? it did nothing more then expand on the game

Well the amount fo player cities ruined it. there are like 25 ghost towns per one player city i wish the devs limeted the player cities to 5 per planet

yeah, but I still dont see how it ruined it. It doesnt affect anything. it wasnt like peole had large clumps of houses around before. Pre cities there were still houses everywhere. atleast now theyre clumped together

Game is set to launch in 7 days. NDA must still be in place because it sucks.

The NDA is still in place, because some parts of JTL are still subject to changes and tweaking and tuning. That's all about it

No, not at all. Let me try to explain without breaking NDA.

They are in the process of fine tuning things, as well as fix a few nagging bugs. That's the reality. At the rate these devs are fixing bugs they are real close to getting this game ready (and yes much, much more ready than SWG was when it launched).

The thing about the fine tuning stage is that its touchy in the eyes of the players. Before yesterday it was the end of the world for the players. Nothing worked right (in their minds). Today, most are happy as clams all because of a few minor tweaks. The game is *really* close guys.

You see when they throw out the NDA all these people are going to hit the web with their impressions of beta. They don't want to send people out there giving false imperssions of how the **edit for NDA**, for instance, when its something they tweak (to the players' desire, mind you) everyday, almost. They want to get everything just right before they unleash the hounds, so to speak. Early this week was not the time to throw out the NDA. Later this week... more than likely.
