I play on Bria; however, I am sure that this problem is not limited to Bria alone. Recently rebel players (and perhaps others) have begun to use the rebel shield adjust programs to permanently increase their shield strength to ridiculous levels. For example, today I fought against a rebel player who was able to withstand 3 direct IR missile hits without even slowing him down. It turns out his shield outpost was close to 5000 points of protection. This is causing a major inbalance and is beginning to affect pvp greatly. I will not go into details on how they do it because I don't want more people doing it. I ask that the devs look into this issue and do something to stop this. Widespread use of this exploit will eventually cause people to leave the game and kill space pvp for good.

This exploit was fixed some time back, but the shields that were created while it was in place still exist.

Instead of posting here, next time, report it to the CSR. They can look into it then.

Yea you won't be able to make shields like that anymore as the bug was luckily fixed... Only few of those shields still exist.
It is a matter of fact though that this is no "rebel" shield exploit. All pilots can use commands from rebel pilots and I have seen imperials with these shields as well.

Don't mind him kitten, hes just upset because its this one player on Bria who's gained a bit of noterity on our server, happends to be rebel. In another post i mentioned "one pilot that i know of" who uses said shield, but i just avoided the specfics. The poster of this thread and I of course, both refer to the same pilot.
I wont deny that this pilot is good, and much to his credit he's a good guy and is upfront and honest about himself, (which is how we know what he's got), but i'd be lying if i said i didn't feel that i was cheated. I've come to realize that all the times ive gone up against him, was a utter waste of my time, i never had a chance at killing him, ever. I simply will not fight this pilot again, ever.
