Thread: Kessel Questions

Well, due to not being able to search for messages in this forum using posted date as a key it's almost impossible to find out any CURRENT information on Kessel without sorting thru thousands of messages (of which almost 90% contain outdated information due to some change at the end of 2004).

So here are my questions:

1. What is the status of Kessel as a PVP zone?

2. If I am a freelance pilot can I be attacked by other players?

3. If the answer to #2 is no, thatI cannot be attacked, then what if I'm grouped with players who are overt (as a group leader and as a group member)? Will they be attackable while grouped (with me as their leader) or will I become attackable along with them? (ie- does the group in space take on the faction of the leader of the group or is faction applied individually? If individually, can I help defend a group member?)

4. Is the only way to do PVP in Kessel going to be by declaring a space faction? Can a freelancer actually declare a faction in space?

5. Do you take decay due to damage in Kessel (or in Deep Space, for that matter)?

Thanks!

Multi-Player is what brings the SWG world alive (real people, other players, make SWG so wonderfully dynamic). I just don't treat SWG like it was a chat room, I don't play to socialize and I resent forced grouping!"

Here are some answer to your questions.

1. It's only PvP if you go in overt, so basically it's the same as any other system other than deep space.

2. You can only be attacked if you go overt before entering.

3. Don't know the answer to this question.

4. Yes, yes

5. Not sure, I know that the chassis takes damage in Kessel, haven't watched the others closely enough to be sure.

Kessel has not been forced PvP for a long time.

Overt tags do not transfer among the group. Everyone else in your group might be Overt, but if did not declare, then you are not.

Damage in Kessel should be the same as damage in every other space sector. Damage is still taken, even in Deep Space, but all damage is supposed to be fixed without decay upon leaving Deep Space.
