I did a read-through and apparently, in addition to the new mining ships, we are getting new, uber-heavy components to beef up MP ships!

Yeah, we're getting new components, but most of them have stats no better then level eight components and weigh a lot more.

MP ship components should have like... 4-5 times the ratings our stuff has now. Or at least the shields and armor...

I agree. Weapons should do 5-6k damage, shields should have 25k+, capacitors with 30k, armor with 25k, ect. An MP ship should be feared when they go out into combat and be much more powerful then a starfighter.
But it doesn't look like that's ever going to happen.

"The Maker" forbid that it take more than a single pass to wipe out a player ship. These parts do need to get much stronger. On a side note, most current shipwright parts could use an upgrade as well.

Heck, all of JtL needs to be rebalanced. But NOT to the degree of the ground game. It just needs to have the numbers asjusted in like a single publish devoted to space.


But if you really wanted an mp ship to be feared, you'd need like a 100k gen shield.

ROFL comon you realy expect them to make it better? Its ROTW now. JTL is Out. New bugs to fix till sales drop again. then Who knows what we will have to shell out 24.95 for. Oh wait i know New bugs and Broken promises. Yeah im Bitter. I just want thigs tobe made Rite. Then ill get excited about Another 24.95.

don't be so sure, it's a giant leap forward that they actually even acknowledged the need for POB only equipment. just that alone is a nod towards being dedicated in fixing what is wrong with JTL the right way, and not the wrong way. expect all of the POB stuff to get much better.

I agree MP ships need stronger Shields/Armor an Better Engines/Reactors. But 5 to 6k damage weapons? Is a one hit kill in PvPjust not fast enough? Maybe after being shot by that gun they should blow up again at the Space Station. LOL

Have you ever tried to hit a moving player ship or Tier 5 from a turret?


I actually think the current lvl 10s are powerful enough for freighters, as far as weapons go. They need a major shield and armor upgrade, though, to be viable in PvP.

yes.. i got 3800 guns and they are okey .. even with this(2500) shi. and arm. we are taking tier5 ships. but pvp what ever we do we are boom... need min 6k shield.

MP ships vs MP ships - there's your reason for upgraded weapons!

I still feel that MP ships should be tanks, the weapons are for defense. Give them 3-4 times stronger shields and armor, but keep the weapons the same. When a fighter attacks one and gets hit he should think to himself, "man that was dumb, he hit me hard and I barely scratched him." with better shields and armor they would stillhave no problem with PvE tier 5 and such, it just might take a bit to destroy them, but the MP ship can take the beating over time.
