I created 2 new characters a couple of weeks ago, one flying for the rebels, and one flying for the imps (I've already got a freelancer), but I've deleted the imp character as I realised that 2 new characters was a bit too much (and I gave him a really stupid name)
I don't particularly like the rebels (bunch of bloomin hippies, and their only decent looking fighter is the B-Wing), so I'd rather my remaining guy flew for the imperials. If I dump my rebel alliance tree and go for the imperials, will they give me a new starfighter or am I going to have to buy a tie fighter of my own?

I imagine you will get a starter ship no matter what pilot professions you've hadin the past, once you drop your reb pilot to go imp you are starting from scratch.

I haven't been doing the space missions on the new character yet, as I've been working on his ground professions, so I don't stand to lose anything by dropping the tree (it's still in the first box) I'm thinking about it now because I need those lovely space credits.

ok i've been searching for good 45 mins or so through forums and FAQs and have yet to find what I need
sry if this has been asked before but...
I finished RSF pilot I master the other day...now i want to regrind to corsec so i'm pure neutral in space...
I know FAQs say to resign...but Mr. corn cob up his arse Captain Dinge wont give me the option to resign..
Do i just surrender all the pilot boxes?...just want to make sure i will have my xp modifyer for the next grind...
And just on a side note to make sure...I will have the xp modifyer for the corsec grind right? after surrendering RSF?
or would it be better to grind Rebel pilot first then go back and do corsec for additional loots/modyfier?
lots o questions...but just cant find the exact answers i need thnx in advance =)

You receive a bonus for each Faction you have mastered a pilot path within. Having completed RSF means dropping it will give you a bonus to whatever you choose to try next. If you choose to Fly CorSec all the way up and then resign, you will still have only gone to Ace in one Faction, so you will still get the same bonus.

woot thnx for reply =)
decided i'm gonna do rebel master next get some cool loots lol then go back corsec and stay there =)
NEAR considered dropping my ground rank/faction just so i could get imp master badge n loots lol almost...who knows may yet lol
I read somewhere you can only have so much of a modifier?....like if i mastered rebel...then imp...i would only have bonus from my first RSF...and my rebel..imp master wouldn't increase the modifier any...?
