I am just flying along happily in space when my ship disapears, and so does everything arround me. I was wondering if this problem is local to bloodfin. also it says stuff is in a different system alot
Yep, a lot of peeps are having this problem. Pub 24 broke a number of things in JTL. Y-8 and Nova windows are black now, also autopilot to waypoint is broken
I was flying about Tatooine system in my newly pimped YT1300, testing the new gear (v nice!) and I hit booster (to a speed over 1700) and PC locked up....
Had to turn it off by tower button (never good, I know!)
Anyway, logged back into game half expecting it to have put me on the ground, it hadn't, but trying to get back to Tat station was a nightmare! IT ACTUALLY SHOT OFF BEFORE MY EYES!!!! I pressed tab and it target a valarian ship 8000m away, no wait 200m, no.. 9000m, ah my bad 4567m, oh no, it WAS 11567m away.... you get the idea.. THEN it seemed like EVERY SHIP in the sector (including Space Station!) all shot in from behind me, massed about 300m infront of me and vanished!!
My question: Has SOE added Blask Holes or something?! Thats what the last bit loked like, only no hole so to speak!
Yeah trhought i'd got a free cloak for my ship for a min till everything dissapeared. It wants fixing soon

Could you please point me to a Dev acknowledgement on this? I have yet to see one.
Open up your in-game Options menu. Click on the Terrain tab. Disable "Specular Terrain Lighting."
Do this before you launch into space. Also, because it doesn't save the setting, you'll have to do this each time you log in.
This worked for me.
