This is a genuine query as to why some of these are being closed or deleted at the moment without any explanation.
The collection post i made a few days earlier was a genuine attempt to try to get the amount of why has the UK/some of Europe release dates been delayed posts cut down as these posts are beginning to annoy a portion of the forums. It was deleted which is entirely within your powers but an explanation as to why would be nice so as to avoid whatever it was in the post that caused it to be deleted happening again in other posts.
As at the moment due to the issues with the distributor in the UK holding back the release for unknown reasons we are going to have a lot of unhappy UK SWG subscribers here. They come on here and immediately blame SOE,when it isn't SOE's fault, even when some of us from the forums have already found out the problems and have them in other posts. They don't see these posts as the first thing they do is post complaining about the delay and the post has slipped down a page or 2.
One sticky message stating that the delay is due to the distributor in the UK namely Activision would be a good way to hopefully cut down on the UK delay posts that we seem to be getting day in day out. As a lot of players are young and don't realise fully that SOE are the developers only and not the distributor.
It might also calm down a lot of the misplaced anger towards SOE over an issue which is out of your control.

I would also like to know why all of those threads were taken down,
So much for freedom of speech!

Agree. Why not just keep ONE stickied post at the top, mentioning the problem, mentioning the other places to buy/import the software? GarVa, It would save all the threads that you have to delete, surely .. the thread that got deleted earlier would have been perfect.
