i took down the space stations shields and secondary sheilds today but couldnt get any further i didnt know where to shoot at and i tried shooting at the bridge

The bridge is the last component that needs to be destroyed, before it you need to destroy the reactor: two gas tank like objects on each side of the station near the end with the bridge. You only need to shoot at one of them.

I don't know if the normal space SSes are damagable. But I have soloed freedom station in deep space twice already.

Rebel SSes have two sheild generators that look like poles on either end of the ship, take those out first (or the turrets if you want to make this easier).

Then there is the reactor, like he said it looks like a long tube along the outside of the station. It goes out one section of it, runs along the side, then diverts back into the slender body of the station.

Once the reactor is down you can go for the bridge.

I looted 374k from my first freedom station kill, then a whoping 695k for my second kill.
