Thread: DEVS, Tiggs, TH, Rebel Base/All Ships in Deep Space do not respawn consistantly.

Yesterday around this time (after reboot I assume) Deep Space was packed with corvettes. So many, in fact that I would get 10fps just pointed at them. Now, the base has not respawned in over 12 hours, and I am unable to find any rebel ships in Deep Space at all.

Is this a feature? IE, some kind of mechanic to encourage one side to not dominate the area, or a bug? AFAIK the base was destroyed at least 3 or 4 times, but then again the ISD was also destroyed a couple times yesterday as well.

As an aside, it would help if there was more incentive to play in Deep space aside from the reward of taking down the ISD/BASE, something else is needed, like a game, or a way to affect something in the area. It should not be a physical reward. I'll leave the mechanics of that for other threads to discuss though.

Not 100% accurate, yesterday during the same boot cycle I blew it up twice and watched NPCs blow it up once. After the NPCs blew it up it did not respawn for 12 hours, but it was respawning more than once a boot before that.

I don't really understand why we have to fight this puny station and rebels fight the 101 gun behemoth out there. Wouldn't it be more fun if it had a big escort and required a large group to beat? I guess the point is rebels should guard it....

The station only didn't respawn once on Kettemoor since the patch, but reappeared after about two days. After that it's respawned consistently a few minutes after it's destroyed. It seems to be a bug more than a feature.

The first time I destroyed the station (after the latest patch)I was sort of taking it all in, sitting there after I stopped on my final attack run. All of a sudden the station poped up into view, must have been under even 3 minutes. I had to flee for my life to get out without being destroyed again. The NPCs that were around it did not seem to leave.

Today I killed it again and got the heck out of there and into endor space for to go overt. I came back in a few minutes, the station had respawned but there was just 1 group of rebel NPCs I could find (3 gunboats and a few X-wing escorts). Its like everything hypered the heck out of there after it had been destroyed.

There seems to be either a dynamic spawn system we don't understand or there are bugs in the spawning system.

No, its because they totally f'd it up with the last patch. Previously, you could destroy the rebel station and it would respawn almost instantly. People were taking advantage of that and killing it repeatedly, making MILLIONS! I know a guy who made 70 million in a day doing it, so it HAD to be changed. Now... they didn't use their foresight, and they put in like a 24 hour respawn on the station. Now, the way Deep Space is set to work, is that Rebel Ships only spawn if the Rebel base is present. So if the base gets destroyed, it ruins Deep space for everyone else until it respawns in like 24 hours. . . Which really pisses me off because it completely makesdeep space pointless for imerials, andIt basicallyDENIES us of our **only** Ace Specific content in game, other than our clothing and our ships. This should be a priority fix, so that rebel ships will spawn independent of the Freedom Station. I'm totally against the credit farming of the station, but still it needs to at least respawn in like an hour or so, so other players may destroy it. Maybe cut the reward down significantly, to maybe 25k-50k credits, but having it take that long to respawn and in the meantime disabled rebel npc spawns in Deep space really is too radical of an action on SOE's part in my opinion. I don't believe they were thinking about the fact that DS spawns were dependent on the station.
