Thread: Yachts and Lots

I am not sure if this has been discussed or proposed. So, I will post it here.

I was wondering if the idea has been thought about allowing players to dedicate more lots to thier multiplayer ships.

The yacht takes up one lot and allows for 75 items. As pretty and spacious as the yacht is, with only 75 items, it feels sorta empty.

With the option of a player dedicating more lots to the yacht could allow the player to add more decorum to his floating palace, if he so desires.

Just a thought

And given the dev's desire to have more content in the game. ( yay to them). Each lot that you could be allowed to transfer to your yacht could ever require a set of missions or a quest.

I like the idea! One lot, 75 items. Two lots, 150 items, ect. Sounds good to me.
Though it would be interesting if you'd have to have a Smuggler "modify" the SoroSuub to do this. Give the Smugglers a bit of a use. And would make sense... the Smugglers modify their own ships to make them have more storage, after all.

I agree, my yacht looks awesome now, but at 75 items only, I'm not even close to finishing the decorating work.

I would easily spend 2-3 lots to get to 150 or 225 items. Heck, I have a char that has no house and I roleplay him as a wandering entertainer who only lives in space, I would gladly spend a lot of lots and store everything in my yacht.

This way everybody wins: we get the storage we want, and devs don't have to worry about free storage.

I'd thought of a similar idea... basically you would have a total pool of item slots depending on how many ships/houses you have and you could lower or raise limits in a house or ship by raising or lowering the amount in the others, but still keeping the same amount of items total.

devs would probably argue that then everyone would spend their lots onyacht and not even get houses ,putting architects out of buisness becasue yachts dont have maintainence fee's.....

but i like the idea also, just stating what the devs might say :-/

I dont see folks never using houses, if this option was available. They are way to useful for the ground game. But, the idea about being able to freely alocate your lots between structures/yachts at your desire does sound like an interesting idea.

Even from an RP aspect. The military type character that has several small houses scattered about with a few things in each. To the Merchant prince that as a palace that is full of hundreds and hundreds of items
