I'm a freelance CorSec pilot that just got to the point where I can get "Advanced Fighters." The problem is, every time I go talk to the trainer in Coronet, he tells me to go and talk to the mission-giver (and that dude's missions don't even work!). So, how do I level up freelance when he just keeps on telling me to talk to someone else?

To the original poster:
Only the person who gave you the missions can train you, when you have completed whatever they want you to complete. Usually it's when you complete a mission. If you have the XP and cannot be trained...Complete that mission and then the mission giver will train you.

Yes, because that was all inherently obvious to every one of us the first time we played. That would explain why there were not hundreds of threads asking why people couldn't get trained even though they had enough XP. Wow, you must have lots of friends.
Now, as for Karteepy's original question, whichever NPC you are currently getting missions from is the ONLY one that can train you. And (brilliantly), they won't train you unless you have beaten the next mission on the roster, even if you have enough XP. Hell, even if your XP is capped at max. Which makes perfect sense, really.

Do it the old fashion way and group! You will have a ton of exp if you help people with there missions and even better it will be a whole lot of fun!

Thank you all for your response, except for the first guy. I had kind of figured this, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Anyway, I can't complete the mission that he gives me anyway, I think it's bugged. He sends me to Lok, but when I get all the way out there, nothing happens. I tried looking around the waypoint, I tried sitting directly on the waypoint for 20 minutes.. nothing.
Hmm.

Stop trolling. I asked a legitimate question and you're not helping.
Secondly, is there anyone that has the same mission as me and can help me? Look up a few posts to see my mission dilemma.

Ok seeing as everyone Is negative about my first post, I think I know whats wrong, you're talking to the wrong trainer, look around for more pilot trainers that are CorSec or what ever Neutral pilot you went. (There are more than just 1 pilot trainers In coronet, search the whole of coronet, I'd advise you start looking In the hotels/cantina's.

Actually did he tell you to go talk toanother trainer? when you get to tier 2 you have a new trainer... he tells you who he Is..

Yes. And I went to the other trainer, who gives me a mission. The problem is, every time I go to do the mission, nothing happens. I sit there are the waypoint and nothing ever happens.
