Thread: Rebel missions too easy, Imperial Missions way too hard

I started in Bestine and became an Imp. Pilot. That's Storm Squadron. I am stuck at 2322 for weeks. Died more than 20 times, trying to do this mission or help others. Tryed it in groups of 4, tryed it solo. Tryed it with better shields and weaker weapon, tryed it with better weapon an weaker shields. No way. Tryed to hyper away, killing 5 tier 3 A-Wings away from those tier 4 X-Wings. Mission fails, it took too long. Frustrating.

I created a new char on Farstar and became a rebel pilot in tyrena. Got 1111 quickly. Got 2222 quickly. Thought, that trouble starts now. Tryed mission to get 3222 and finished solo without problems. Perhaps lucky. Tryed 3322 next day. Finished solo without problems. Hm. Tryed 3332. Finished. No Problem. Tryed 3333. Solo. Did the last 2 missions in less than 2 hours and now I am3333 without ever dieing once!

I have a X-Wing with triple the firepower and better shields than my Tie/in on Gorath and I only had to fight some tiny waves of tier 3 stuff.

My underpowered Tie/In (39k Mass) has to deal with longer missions, tier 4 enemys, double size waves and Nova Gunships, that my rebel hast'n even seen yet. I have the best equimentI could find all around coronet that fits into the mass.

I should find a bigger group? I was there, at Gorath yesterday at prime time and there was absolutly nobody at the imperial outpost on yavin 4. Nobody! Tryed it solo again. Died. Came back. Still nobody at the outpost. Thats how great the Imp missions are. A few weeks after JTL launch, there is NOBODY left doing the missions.

Talk to my guild? The Guild shrunk down to 2 people over the last months. I removed myself after they were never online.

JTL should be fun. I just want to let you know, that it isn't fun for me. Looking for fun somewhere else.

I totally agree with you. I am stuck at 1211 and I cannot get any training until I complete the fuel technician mission. I tried it again this morning and got blown to bits for the 12 th time. Again I have to question if the devs actually play this game for any length of time. They are going to wait until the complaints reach critical mass and a bunch of people leave in fraustration before fixing this. People should be able to master their damn professions! Save the insane difficulty for the high end game content. The are screwing up JTL with it. How many people would have stayed around if they could not master their ground profession because it was impossible to do by themselves? Can anyone imagine trying and failing to master Marksman because it was too difficult? That would have terrible if the devs brilliantly made it too difficult like they are doing to JTL. How long will people shell out their hard earned dollars just so they can repeatedly fail the same mission over and over? After a while people will realize they are paying and not having any fun with this.

I can't speak for the Rebel missions since I never played them.

yeah Storm Squadron missions are almost impossible to do solo. A couple of tips: 1. get 3/2/2/2 not 2/3/2/2 you need more mass not better weapons. Also get the tie bomber and load it up with the best stuff you can find, those 2 lasers will drasticly up your power but turning willl suck. Get weapon overcharge 3 and engine overcharge 3 from a higher lever imperial. Other than that you need to find a guild to help you especially if they are a Storm Squadron Ace becuase they went through thoses missions too and will help or you need to join an easier squadron.

The funny thing is out of the 5 aces in my guild 4 of them are from Storm Squadron, me included.

Well at least I ain't the only one who can't complete this mission! The 1-2-1-1 stigma is annoying me the most, My TIE can't take any of the new parts I got because it dosen't have enough mass. I have 72.something engines that I am qualified for which has too much mass, same with the shields, great stats but the mass is too high, and some great lasers that I just can't use. And the mission: "Oh look, I see it, a few wimpy X-Wing tier 2's, and a... small transport? Meh, take out the X-Wings, come in behind then... WHAT! Shields at 50% in 2 hits! Shields down! /escapepod ye... GAAAAAAA *static*" Well, that's what went through my head as it went on. And that was roughly 10 seconds long. The only option I never tried was grouping , but I was unable to find anyone willing to help, sadly. The only other thing I can do is carry on my artisan training, become a shipwright, and RE some of the components I have. Then I hopefully won't have to pay tons of credits later on ships and parts. Which will take me weeks (casual gamer), and maybe won't even help. Just typical I would start the hardest mission set! Well, just saying "It was worse in the beta" over and over again helped me a bit... for 2 minutes. Then a violent fit of rage helped.

I play on Gorath and am Imperial Ace. Due to the lack of content for Aces I would love to help those out this weekend who need missions completed
