its not done yet. it wasnt finished but everyone wanted it so they rushed it, thats why it has so many bugs, thats why the npc AI sucks, thats why the devs are constantly changing things back and forth. thats why there is such a lack of content. Beta should have lasted way longer in my opinion, i was in beta for a few weeks and never once did i think the game was finished, there were always massive problems with it. But because people were so crazy about getting this sooner rather than later, the expansion is not all that it should be. ill bet anything that alot of the guys complaining about JTL right now are some of the same people that were shouting to have it released.

also with so many people PLAYING and not TESTING in beta, i feel like serious beta testers were held at a severe disadvantage. so whether you enjoy the game or not....( i enjoy it, but im starting to get a little pissed at all the changes all the time) ... if you were one of the ones that pushed for its release, you have no one to blame but yourself.

JTLS is a brilliant addition to SWG and is making the game even better in my view. I still have loads to do on the ground but find myself in space 90% of the time. No other MMo has attempted anything like this before and it's a great success.

personally i am very IMPRESSED with HOW WELL JTL worked at launch.
guys, it works very well. they successfully launched the PLATFORM with few bugs. i flew from day one and it worked from day one.
they will add content once the platform bugs are ironed out in gameplay.
never had a server revert since oct27, they fixed some things we wanted already.
i got into space with NO problems at the very first. was a very good launch.

Exactly, its doing fine, but the problem is people are complaining about simple things, nothing is never good enough. People starting stupid worthless petitions for new professions in JtL, pffft the damn thing has been out less than a month and im already seeing stuff like this.

Agreed. The blending of the space and ground games are fantastic. I can't support my space game without my ground game. And that's the way a true expansion should work. Problems will be fixed and the game will evolve.

This has been discussed many times before....when JtL launched. The release date for the game was set before halfway through beta, and i really dont think people complaining in beta affected the launch date, if that was the case, games like WoW and Half-Life 2 would already be out because people have been wanting them so bad for so long.

And changing things back and fourth? Like what? Kessel? It was change from pvp to pve, one change, not once then again. Ship mass? It was low and now its higher, changed once, not once then again. The only thing i can think of your refering to is the recent AI issue, which is a bug because i dont believe there was any mention of it in the patch notes.

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=swgpatchnotes&message.id=234

Its a program, its being coded, bugs will happen, if there were never any bugs we wouldnt be talking about this right now, and everything would be perfect and probably no reason for these forums, and would put lots of people out of a job, lets not go there.

You speak as if you dont want changes, if you dont want changes go play a console game. This is a MMORPG, the came CHANGES and GROWS.

Dont put any blame on those people who wanted it to be released, they wanted the game, they pay $15 a month just like you, and were waiting a LONG time for JtL, they get not one ounce of blame for the current state of the game.

i still remember when they told us during the beta test of SWG and thelauch that they don t push out JTL yet cause it still need s some tweaks and people would never be able to raise the funds fora ship in the beginning

And those same people would have been complaining if JTL had launched with a dozen professions instead of four and they all weren't getting the attention they felt they deserved. Instead of mirroring the ground game, where we have redundant professions (pikeman, 1h sword, 2h sword, etc.) and half-finished professions (merchant, smuggler, squad leader, etc., etc., etc.) they did four professions and did them rather well.

Personally, I have been very pleased with JTL. I find the missions as fun and dynamic as is really possible in an MMO, and launch was just about perfect, especially when you look at the nightmare that was the original release of SWG.

I think the amount of cry-baby complaints about JTL (the seemingly minor things that get people all in a hissy-fit) is due to the fact that like SWG, people had these huge unrealistic expectations and/or had built JTL up to be something that it was never intended to be.

That said, there is so much more room for expansion, if you'll pardon my pun - mining in space, space commerce, more multi-player experiences (space stations, more ships, etc.). For right now, however, JTL is in a thousand times better condition than SWG was at launch; yes, I"m sure people have some valid complaints/suggestions, but when I read some of the complaints I realize just how well-done JTL was - because if this is what they have to complain about, somewhere along the line the Dev team did their job very well.

I agree 100%. I was actually very impressed with how developed it was in the final weeks of beta - especially after seeing how broken SWG was in the last few days before release. It was like night and day. I'd be the last person to say the Devs haven't screwed up a god-awful amount of things with this game, but I think they learned a lot from their past mistakes when it came to this launch.
