Thread: My take on capital ships

I believe that master pilots should be able to operate captial ships. i also think iut would be cool to have a boarding party launched from one capital ship to the other, introdcing an element of PvP. it would be cool if you could stock youre ship with factional NPCs, the kind you buy a recruiters to asist in combat. then all you would need is a bunch of people to opperate the turrets, and mabey some to coordinate starfighters

I could be wrong, but that sounds to me like the way capital ships ARE going to work when they come out.

i think it would make more sense as a guild controlled thing, that way lag and whatnot in space wouldn't be as much of an issue. That's not to say that you couldn't have non-guild members on board, but i think a 1 per guild should be the way to go...

the one per guild idea has come up in alot of the discussions i have had with my guild, but the problem would be, who gets to own it.

acording to my idears in that post noone in the guild owns it the 1st person in the guild who douse the quest 1st gets th control device in the data pad and gets to out fit it but it allways up in space so anyone in the guild can use it but the owner controls it o btw i'm about to update that post some more

So what happens if you're unguilded though? Will you still be able to acquire the "control device"? And what happens if you join a guild after you acquire it?

if its a expansion this wouldnt work. But idf its a Publish it should only be used if you have a Proper Number of crew. Just my thought on it. Some will say but what if you cant find a crew. Who wouldnt want to go in a Cap ship??

if your unguilded you wont get the email untill your in a guild and if you leave the guild everyone gets removed from the admin list exect you and you cant bourd it untill you join a nouther guild

captial ships are cool but i wonder if you captured one such as a rebel npc corvette and land it does it stay in your datapad or is it gone lol. Also i been hearing that some of the space missions for the new docking system has some where you land on a disabled corvette or have to disable it and when you land there are npcs helping you take over the ship. I hear that there is an npc near the door that you can ask him to send his men to attack such as bridge or engineering and then npcs would spawn and clear the way to the place you want to go. So if thats true i think that would be cool and also would be neat to add that to ground npc factions for example if your a high ranking officer of your faction and talk to a npc wondering around,a window will come up and commands will area such as follow me or resume original orders or stuff like that lol that would be fun and also get big wars started all over the place.
