Okay I'm just tryin to plan ahead here so I'd appreciate any input. First off I am thinkin about purchasing a Firespray now because I don't know if the price which is already very high will go up before I reach Master Pilot. Right now I can find Firepsrays for as low as 4.5 to 5 million and as high as 7 million so I am not sure how that is compared to other servers and if it will go up?
Now onto my second question. When I see Firesprays for sale it says Chassis but the actual item says Firespray Chassis Blue print or whatever. I heard you have to take this blue print to an NPC to have them convert it into the actual ship, is this true and if so how much are we talkin about paying this NPC? Hopefully the price to convert is not equavillent to the huge price of the ship. Anyways any info will be appreciatedm thnx.

Yet another question actually since I'm thinkin about it. Once you have a ship and have it modded and blah blah blah, can you sell it to someone else or is the only way to get rid of it to destroy it? Also is third person the best way to fly/fight or something? I see alot of people complaining about how with the Firespray it takes up most of the screen with third person, while this is prolly true I never liked playing flight games in third person as it seems much easier to aim and shoot in first. Is this not the case with JTLS? From the vids I have seen while I would def like 3rd person just to see my ship I would think first person or cockpit view would be the way to fight. I could be wrong though so let me know

The chassis takes 90,000 resources to build (check on your server to see what the average resource price is).
Also Firespay schematics require alot of time to make as you have to collect components to make it so there is an added premium to the price of the ship.
I think the chassis con artist charges 100,000 creditsto convert the chassis blue print to a deed.
You can sell the deed to some one.
If you put componenets into the ship remove them before you deed the ship.
My personal preference is to fly first person with the cockpit frame turned off.
The only time I fly third person is when I pilot a Multi-player ship. It allows me to see where my gunner(s) are shooting so I can orient/stabalize the ship to give them theoptimal chance to hit their target.
People like flying third person because it allows them to see their target'schanges in attitudewhen the target is close that way they can reorient their ship to keep their guns on the propper location.
There is a complaint that the firespay blocks the view of their target when in 3rd person. This can be overcome by learning to yaw (turn left/or right)into your target instead of pitching (pulling up/down) into it. Yawing into a target I find is usually better because on most ships, the guns are lined up horizontally. So if you miss with the left side guns there is a chance that your right side guns will hit. Also, you usually reduce your aspect ratio in relation to your target thus making it harder for him to hit you(except for the Firespary and b-wing since it's taller then it is wider when flying)

Thnx
But now I am a bit confused about the resources to build the Chassis. I'm not talking about being a Ship-Wright here, I'm saying if I go to a vendor and buy a Firespray Chassis Blue print for however many millions of credits all I have to do is get it converted to a deed then by the NPC correct? I don't have to find 90k resources on top of that right?

Correct. The Firespray takes 150K resources for a shipwright to build, actually, but once you have the chassis blueprint you don't have to worry about that. Once you buy the blueprint, all you have to do is pay the chassis dealer NPC 100K credits to convert it to a deed.
As for the price, I'd say 4.5M is a significant bargain. At a conservative estimate, each Firespray costs the shipwright ~3M in terms of resources and loot lost to REing, which doesn't even take into account the time spent doing all that REing, collecting high-quality resources for it, etc. The whole supply/demand thing will always play a factor in prices, but so long as shipwrights realize what it's costing them just to build a single Firespray--which is admittedly not always going to be the case, with the way some people think about money spent as never existing and are thus willing to sell themselves short for a quick buck--4.5M is getting pretty close to the break-even point and they're not likely to go any lower. Heck, I wouldn't even be in the Firespray market if they sold that low on my server, I can make more money doing other things.
On the other hand, prices probably aren't going to go up, especially once RotW comes along and gives us so many new semi-unique ships to compete with the Firespray. Still, you never know--so given that 4.5M is already a little on the illogical side if the shipwright's interested in turning a profit, I'd say if you've got the money to spend now, go for it.

On the Bria server the firespray goes for 15 million each. Ive seen them as low as 12 million.
This ship is way to rare to sell for 4 million. The disks alone take a specialist to find and put together and the schematic can only make four and is limited meaning it dissapears once they are created. So that being said the asking price of 15 million is not unreasonable being that the ship takes considerable time to create.
PS Each disk costs 2 mil each. Saw on some vendors, 1.5 each.

Hmmmmmm, interesting, well thnx for the info. I'll have to consider buying one right now since I have the money. Does it cost alot to mod them? Plus what happens if you die in space in PvE or PvP, does your ship get destroyed and cost alot to repair?

in Deep space your ship does not degrade. However in regular space if you are overt and get killed your ship degrades and so does all its parts. Slowly but yes it does degrade.
If you help someone with the Corvett and get destroyed yes it degrades. Only in deep space are you spared the degrade of parts and chasis.
As for moding them, it costs the same as any other ship...
