How about some mixed space/combat missions ?
I'm pretty sure we all remember space missions where the objective was to capture enemy ship. U flew to your target, you disabled it and a COMBAT DROID entered it, pacified and flew to new destination.
Now imagine it was your role to pacify the captured ship's crew.. After u disable the target, u get an option to board the disabled target on your own, instead sending a Combat Droid. Then u get some sort of a mission like a Vette, just smaller ofcourse. Some troopers inside, etc... Kill em all, fly your new ship to new waypoint. U leave your ship for your astromech to fly to nearest space station for you.
