I don't know what its called, but going on house terminology, someone with "Admin Rights" has the ability to control and alter the structure (ship) they are in. This, to me, would translate into moving around furniture inside, flying the thing, and maybe granting other people "admin rights", to fly the ship. That seems pretty clear. However, how long does it last?
When you enter an MP ship, in a group, is the ship a clean slate, with no one on the Admin list? Is everyone on the group on the Admin list? Are set people (the "crew", if you like) always on the Admin list? If the latter is the case, do these people gain access to the ship while it is on the ground? Could the "first mate" make modifications to the ship, buy upgrades, and so forth, or would they need to be conducted by the person who owns the ship?
If we flip this back to housing, it might help. Lets say three people are sharing a house...a real big one. Large Naboo, or something. One of them has the house on their lots. The others live in it, and help pay the maintainance. However, only the person who's lots the house is on can re-deed or destroy the ship.
If we flip that back to ships again...three people in the crew of a YT-1300. One of them "owns" it - its taking up a space in their ship list. Now, does it count like lots, where the others could go to a starship terminal, and look at a list of ships they were Admin on, or would they only see their lots?
That sounds complicated. Here's a Star Wars example. Would Han Solo be able to lend Lando Calrissian the Milennium Falcon, without Han Solo being aboard at the time? Could Lando fly someone else's ship?
I'm just wondering, is all...

I don't know if the Admin list clears or not, but I do know for sure that only the owner of the ship can manage the components and launch it into space. If you want to lend somebody your ship you'd have to remove all the components and redeed the ship and then give them all the stuff.

If a person is qualified to fly the ship they can fly it without any consent on the pilot parts if noone is in the pilot seat.
So anyone can fly the Vet ship , but only masters can fly the other multi player ships.

Right, but only the owner of the ship can launch it from the ship terminal. I can't group-up with JoeSchmo, put him on the ship's Admin list and then let him launch my ship from the ground. Once in space he can fly the ship if he's certified.

No, you could fly a Nova Courier if you went up in one, but not the Decimator or YT-1300 as you're not certified for them.

For some reason, I can't even ADD anyone to my admin list for my VT-49. It says it's added them to the list, but when I bring the list back up it's empty. And, the one that was supposedly "ADDED" to the list can't pick up or place any items in the ship...Is this a bug? Or is my ship screwed up?
Any help would be appreciated!

I noticed My decimator was allowing me to add people lately. I think its a new bug.

The admin lists have been bugged lately. Normally it was indeed allowing you to make long term additions and even the /setpermission admin program worked. Lately the lists are blank, and stay blank.
Allowing non aligned pilots to fly and copilot was taken out as a balance issue and I still agree with it.
