Can't talk about changing joy config here, because of NDA, if you're in beta post in the beta forums.
However, in a space combat game you'll want to keep the default settings. In Air combat games your rudder is used for slight adjustments to your heading. In space you don't have a rudder. You're putting in more thurst to one side of your ship than the other to turn or rotate your craft. Therefore, to change your heading in space you don't roll and adjust your pitch like you would in a plane, you simply change the yaw by using the x-axis on the joystick.

Hi,
by default the joystick x-axis shifts the ship from side to side (normally rudder does that!),how can I set the joystick x-axis to roll the ship? PLZ HELP! I cannot fly with that alien settings
