How does my friend get into the JTL beta, who has been playing for less than a month, and me who has been playing for much much longer did not?

Firstly make sure you applied, sorry if its a dumbass question but just incase you thought you got automatically asked to join or something.
Secondly, invites are still being sent out so give it time.
And lastly...he's lucky and you...well...are not.

Also check your junk email folder...it sometimes lurks in there...that's where mine was.

its also probably a little marketing, they send the invites to the noobs, so, they want to keep playing and get the exansion...

Just an update, if anyone cares. My other friend got in to the beta. I think its my carma acting up again.

Sorry just have to trash this statment (dont take it personally).
What they mean by that is that one, who is in beta, should not come here and release any NDA-protected information regarding the beta.

Well, my best guess is that the devs want a large variety of people playing.Infact, I have even heard that ones with less-capable computers are more likely to get into beta, as the devs what to test lag.

Well, lag, and I'm sure it's also so that they can identify what their minimum system requirements should be.
