I ave hear some post and some say that there no restriction pvp and you can just attack someone out of the open for no reason? I mean if that appen i would leave SWG For ever becous and i am a noob and i dont want to be crush everytime i get in space and must buy a new spaceship over and over again...

also if you die your ship is not destroyed only badly damaged. You will have to have it repaired in order to fly it again which is MUCH less then buying a new one.

Here is how it works:
If you are an imperial or rebel pilot, you have to fly to a special space station and go overt to be attackable by other players.
The rest of the time in space you are covert and only attackable by npcs of opposing factions.
Also, you can take part in PvP in space, but unless you *also* declare on the ground, you are effectively neutral on the ground. IE you are not forced to go covert on the ground to be imperial or rebel in space. The npc trainersall encourage you though and you earn faction points from kills in space.
The one exception to the PvP in space rule is two special zones: Kessel and Deep Space. In either of those zones, it is open PvP for all players. Rebels vs Imperials vs Privateer factions.
Ooh, one other thing that is really nice about this expansion. If you take duty missions, or are doing a mission you have to complete to train in space. The spawns from your mission will *only* be attackable by you and your group members and will *only* attack you and your group. Which means kill stealing is impossible in space. Mission spawns will appear as yellow and give a "you can't hurt this" tone if you try to attack someone else's mission spawns. So there is no confusion.
Oh, and one last nice thing. Group xp is handled differently. So long as you do 5% damage to a ship, you share full xp with any other members of your group.
