I joined the Imperial Navy, got all the first boxes but found out my friends were all Freelancers so I retired from the Imp Navy and went to Tatooine to talk to the Freelance recruiter and joined them but I didnt get a ship. Im not certifed to fly the old Tie Fighter so I cant do missions.

How can I get a starter ship from the Freelance recruiter?

You have to talk to a NPC named "Davis" in one of the back rooms of the Mos Eisley Cantina. He is the REAL trainer. You say you would like to fly for him he will give you a ship and a mission. Hope that helps.

Talk to your recruiter again, you will get one. And if you delete it by accident you can get it again, and again, and again

So it should be no big problem ...

one more thing to mention is that I got the mission from the guy but he didnt give me the ship. I still have the TIE fighter for some reason after I retired from the navy. Not sure if any of that matters but I have talk to the guy 3-4 times now and he still wont give me a ship.

You won't get a ship from him - go to the bazaar and see if you can pick up a cheap Syck blueprint and get your ship. I had to do that for my alt as the trainer won't provide one.

All of the starting trainers give out the starter ships.

For Davis in Mos Eisley I believe that he will first tell you he doesn't have ships to supply to everyone, but if you ask again, he will tell you he hacked on in the starport, and you then have your ride.

If you are naritus send me a tell and I'll see if I can hook you up.

you can get a ship from the freelancer. you chat with him again, and mention that you dont have a ship, and he says something like comback when you get one. then chat again. somewhere in there, he smarts off that you are more trouble than your worth, and loans you a ship.

been awhile, so cant remember exactly.

Ah..okay, I stand corrected then. (actually, I'm sitting at the moment, but that's besides the point)

Ok the trouble was that I still had the TIE fighter, went to Data Pad and deleted it, as soon as I did that he gave me a ship. So moral of the story is that you can only have one starter ship I guess.
