I've seen games that allow you to assign one button on your joystick as the 'shift' button, which essentially allows you to double the buttons that you have on your joystick. I could have sworn there was something like this in beta, but I can't find it in the options. Is this possible? My eight buttons on my sidewinder could be better served doubling it.

The shift key on the keyboard works.
For example, on my joystick i have button 3 (joy3) to launch current missle group, and shift + joy3 as boosters.

Are you saying that you have to push a button the keyboard as well as one on the joystick? That would be rather complicated in a battle. Isn't there a way to assing a button on the joystick as the shift key?

lol, yeah I've keymapped before, and looked in the options area, just haven't found it yet. But I was sure there was a way when I did beta, just can't find it.
