Well as our entire guild went Storm Squadron since we're based of Tat we're taking forever to get the guild through this mission (Me and Rendar are in a guild).
I also am curious, is this how it is suppose to be and we just have to deal with it or is it something that might be modified?

If those missions are taking 2 hours you're doing something wrong. The longest mission we've done for lvl 3 is 1 hour, and that was an escort mission. Most of ours take about 30 minutes.

Unless this was changed from Beta (and if it was, why? what's the point of having a beta test if you're going to replace the working code with untested stuff ?), the missions shouldn't all have to be done back to back, sounds like something's screwy to me.

I am counting in the five or ten minutes between missions as well. five if you fly right there, 10 if anyone needs repairs. So including that into the figure we get

time to gather and have everyoine join the group 20 minutes

first missions 40 minutes

second mission 30minutes

third mission 10 minutes

fourth mission 20 minutes

fifth mission 10 minutes

time to get back to yavin and complete 10 minutes

So by my calculations it can take up to or even over 2 hours if you factor in all the travel and wait time since you have to do this mission in a group and groups sometimes take a little longer to do stuff. And yes they are really hard as well especially the level 4 a-wings in mission 4.

But that is not the issue I am asking about!!!

I just want to know if we are not supposed to ba able to save in between missions.

Time of Truth,

SOEdoe not want anyone mastering Pilot and being DONE with the expansion.

So....

As you go up the Pilot ladder it gets progressively harder to prepare for what lays ahead. As a tier 1 Imperial pilot you are given plenty of opportunities to train. As tier 2 however, I had only2 timesbetween missions where I could learn a pilot skill. Fortunately for me, I had stockpiled enough XP to get more than 1 box.

Now as tier 3 Imp , Doing missions from Yavin IV has become a joke.... I had to gain the help of 5 fellow players last night. With everyones combined 3hr effort I was able to train for Tech III (and gain use of an interceptor).

However, it did not allow me to train the XP I had already collected.

So.....I currently am completely full of pilot xp, cannot train any skills, and require the assistance of 5 more pilots who hopefully have 3 hours to kill.

Does it even matter how much XP you accrue as a Tier 3 Imp pilot? Does it just grant you a box after every set of missions? If so, doesn't that go against everything XP stands for?

i ask the same question: wth are we supposed to do??? fricken even if i finish all 4 and mess up on the 5th, and even tho each mission has a separate mission entry in the log, the fact that i mess up one in the end means I have to REDO ALL OF THEM?!?!??!

Forthe Storm Squadrontier 3 missions I am just wondering if we are actually supposed to have to doall 5 missions over a 2 hour period without loggind, landing, crashing to desktop, hyperspacing, or dying.

As you probably know, if you read the pilot forums at all, when you do any of the above mentioned things you get reset to the first mission even 2 hours into them and you have to start all over again.

While the missions are listed as being done in the mission window you still have to redo them.

I am not talking about the difficulty like all the rebs and neutrals though. I am just talking about the inability to save betweeen missions. It is hard to get 7 people to stick with you for 2 to 3 hours of killing.

So TH, is this a bug?

Or is it working as intended?

I just want to know if I should just go ahead andspend hours of time trying and failing, or if there will be a mission save fix soon. We got 3 guildies though the first box at least. only 50 to go.

Well no answer yet.

Geesh all we want is an answer as to whether to press on or wait for a patch.

We got 4 guildies through the first mission as of last night. At this rate it will take us a good month to get everyone through the first box alone.

Are you landing each time to get a new mission or is it just that the mission is updating? If its the latter i believe it just counts as one mission. Im doing the Inquisitor missions and managed to complete the tier 3 missions solo and within an hour. If you fail one part of the mission youll have to restart... its only a new mission when you land.

Thats what I believe anyway... and I hope that this is correct

Well, they fixed some rebel missions today but still no answer if the no save thing is a bug.

If it is just one missions they should not say you copmpleted the mission and also mark it as done on your mission window. The game calls them 5 different missions afterall. so either the no save is a bug or calling them each a mission is a bug.

I just want to know which it is.

Also, since these are so much harder than other squads missions (since we have no save in between)do we get aything special for completing them?
