Please make it when we stealthe cargo from a ship it actually appears in our inventory. Could go a little further and add a pirate type profession or adda pirate faction(black sun)thatneut players can join. Wouldent be too much too add and would be very fun content.

Totally agree why have a investigate and a dock command if it does not give you anything.

How about for the larger ships (Firespray-sized, and multiplayer ships) that would have some type of cargo hold.....use that for space loot! Recovered or pirated materials would go into our ships cargo hold, instead of my character's back pocket. Larger ships, with more cargo space (Thinking of future ships as well here), would be able to loot more stuff, but the more space they devote to bigger engines, better weapons and so on, then the less cargo space they'd have. No matter what, though, they'd still allow for a LOT more space than what my Avatar can carry.

Just makes sense to me.

So, yeah, give us pirating... Some of us "Privateers" would like to fulfill our job-description.

Oh, and what about looting things OTHER than ship components? You know, like attacking a frieghter that was hauling ore or other bulk materials, or maybe vital medical supplies for the Rebels, or military hardware for the Imps?. Shoot, do it enough on a specific faction, or civiliancompany, and maybe that faction will start trying to hunt you down.Become infamous enough at it, and you might find a BH gunning for you! This could helplead into some other great gameplay mechanics, like having new items for your ship like sensor jamming equipment, sensor masking, or buying fake identifier codes! You'd have to sneak by system patrols, dodgeBounty hunters, or evade enemy faction PC's. It wouldalmost be like, oh I don't know, Smuggling!
