Thread: Unable to attack group mobs?

Hello,
I am currently 2221 in the freelance pilot tree. I was trying to help a friend last night complete his 1st mission in the lvl 3 tier (Jabba), we were grouped and headed out. When we got to the location all the mobs were white (except the frieghter that was orange). We thought maybe he had to attack the mobs first so he attacked and they did turn red to me but I was still unable to do any damage (got that buzz like you do when you attack others missions or players) and verified that I was doing no dmg by trying to kill a disabled mob and did not do a thing to it.
Is there a limitation on which levels can help other levels? LvL 2 can not help LvL 3 missions? I have grouped with others to help them complete their missions without a problem but never asked them what mission level it was. Earlier that day my friend and I were in another group in our guild and helped another member with his mission... though I am unsure of that lv also.
This is the second time this has happened with this friend (I tried to help him twice and both times the same thing happened).

Update, we just tried my mission, last tier 2, and he was unable to help me. Is there a restirction on same tier groups?

No one has an answer to this?
I got a reply from a CSR.. the reply was simple. He closed my ticket without a message.
Is this a bug? Is it a feature? Does no one know and if not why?

I have had no problems helping pep's with their missions, I don't mean to ask a silly question, but are you sure it was his mission, was he killing the ones you could not ?

Yes, he was taking them out and got 99% of the way thru his mission before he got killed. I could not damage anything. I am not the only one either... been talking to some friends and fellow guildmates and it seems it is not an isolated problem but defiantely a bug.
We logged out, both of us, and logged back in and was then able to engage his mission and they were not even white to me that time. I submitted a bug report on this also.
It is almost as if the server forgets who is in the group, we did another mission for a neutral lvl3 2 or 3rd mission (taking on the yt-1300's) and two of our members half way thru themission could no longer dmg the mobs.

I remember a bug in beta, that if the person that took the mission did not launch into space 'first', they encountered problems. I don't know if this was fixed, or it may be a similar problem. Thats all I can think of.
