Now I love these missions and they are very hard... Currently I am 3 3 3 2 and having to take groups to help me.. but when you complete the mission then its oh..... " Oh.. Wait... Come do this one too... . And this one .. and this one...........also this one.." before you know it you dead and over an hour has gone by... Then you realize.... that more then an hour of work has to be started allllllll over again... Feels like someone shot me in the heart.

My request is for these missions that require you to go here... go there..go here .. go there .go here and here and here and here and here. Be split up some so you can have a break.... go to the restroom...or if you die long in the process not be forced to complete hours and hours of work. My exp is maxed... I cannot go any further due to the mission.. so I am killing for nothing pretty much until this mission is complete.. Overal I love the game.

These are duty missions - they will continue indefinatly (and get harder the more you do) until you land, hyperspace, or die.

I'm surprised you havn't done a duty mission already... they're a good way to get xp.

Is This a Duty Mission by chance? which is just a Xp grinder, or What mission is it? I have not achieved 3332 since beta, Just curious What I am heading for.

I presume you're referring to the duty missions. The thing about them is that, once you get your payout from a mission, a waypoint to another one appears. The next mission (where the new WP will direct you to) doesn't start until you arrive at that waypoint. In other words, as soon as you get yourpayout, you can stop to take a break. If you want, you can head down to the planet and get another mission from your trainer, and, voila, no harm done. That's the thing about duty missions...They're just grinding material, like ground missions, but you don't have to go to mission terminals to pull them.

One more point, the xp is progressive, as opposed to just going out kill'n radndom mobs. After you take the first 'Fighter Wing' out, which is about 3 to 5 waves, you can go after the second 'Wing' which will give you better xp than the first, but they do get harder. If you are so inclined take a group on a patrol, only one of you need to take the mission (flight leader sort of) , and all in group benefit from the progressive xp, expecally if you take out 5 or more 'fighter wings'.

Edit, I am talking about the open ended duty mission which is designed to give you purpose and direction in (grind'n, not to me) filling up your xp box. After you lvl, then you get the required mission for advancement, then back on patrol Captian untill your CO feels you are rdy to advance again(iefill the xp box again).

i agree with everyone , the duty missions are fine, the promotion missions suck, fine i guess if u can find a group to fly with you, but unfortunatly i dont have anyone in my guild flying the missions, which makes most of the promotion missions impossible for me to do alone. Does this proclude me from makeing master pilot?

Unfortunetly after 3/2/2/2 all imperial missions need a group of 3+ player at least (4-5 is more perferable), so start looking for afighter squadron.

The Tier 3 Imperial mission are to hard and to long, i cannot repair and reload my "few" missiles in betweenand worst thing off all,I can't even take a breakfor a leak..Wiith 10 enemy ships around that you have to hit 1000 times to blowup it's insane..It's no fun at alland only frustration...I dont like to be forced to GROUP to get higher up, the ground game doesnt force you to group when grinding your profession, so why make it different here?

ok i am 2222 in storm squadron working in yavin 4 doing a 5 part mission(i think) for Captin Denner, i have to escort a transport, then raid a rebel transport, protect that transport, find a rebel a-wing and get info, and once i complete the 4th part i am ambushed by 4-5 tier 4 npcs, i am ready for next skill but guy just gives me mission. So this is a duty mission? do i just need to complete part of the mission then fly back to guy and get training? i have died a few times even with help of another pilot.

Any ideas or tips would help. Thanks

When you have the info you can go back.. Leave the tier4-5 alone

Yep, you just use the /hyperspace command, and pick a point in the system you're in.

This is a good way to disengage, and it usually won't break the mission you're in, as the system recognizes that you have not left the sector.
