EURGH! when using my 92.2 speed engine on my Y-wing or X-wing, i cringe every time It's SO ugly. Just by looking at them I think I'm playing another flight simulator game, these new engine looks are very un-starwarsy. I wish all the engines would look like the normal ones outta the films, like when you use the crappy engines you get the classic appearance. But I want powerful engines with classic appearance
...anyone agree?

The "clasic" look is still there if you use the right engine. I have a 92.2 top speed equiped and it looks like a "normal" x-wing. You just got a crappy drop.

Why don't you just get an engine to RE with your 92 spd and put the cool looking one in first?
I liked the look of my 92 spd on my dunelizard and kimo but i hate it in my YT. Ehhhh stupid thing has a lil rectangleish oval and two circles to the
sides. I want the big long one solo had
Wish there was a engine style change kit. Hmmmm might be a good idea.

I disagree, at least partly
In the movies, all those Alliance and Imperial fighters that we saw were all military issue. Even Luke's X-Wing was a factory model, aside from it's rather organically linked flight computer (to Artoo). In other words, we really never saw what a modified X-Wing might look like (or any other Alliance ship, for that matter). So I see no reason to force a modfied X-Wing to look *exactly* like they did in the movies. That would--IMNSHO--be un-Starwarsy.
I do agree to an extent, however. While I think that modified Alliance vessels should physically reflect that (at least in some respects, like engines), they should be at least be of similar size (and perhaps general form) to the "stock" engine pods. Going too far in towards any extreme would create problems with both mounting and atmospheric flight.

The engines I use on my Y-Wing look remarkably similar to the Phoenix warp nacelles. It's a good thing that the chassis doesn't come disc-shaped.

I happen to like the way that ships have a unique look depending on what parets are used. it gives your ship that personel touch.

I like the look of the 92.2 speed engine. I thought it was the coolest thing I've seenfor a long time.Besides you can easily switch back to the old style by REing the thing.
The old style just looks so... old..

I just wish imperial ships were customisable. unfortunately they can't be customised in any shape or form ... they're all the same shape and colour scheme. It leaves me somewhat envious of rebel/neutral pilots.
