I wouldn't mind flying it. Afterall, the nice thing about this game is every ship you get can be modified to your own tastes. In that respect I also hope we'll see more and more components, even if they do similar jobs but look different it'l be fine. It'd be nice because then we wouldn't have the same sort of thing we have now with seeing hoardes of people in comp armor looking almost as identical to each other as stormies do. While comp armor looks sweet it oes get a bit boring afterwards

Cheers to that mate! Comp armor clones. lol.

I have never since my time playing from beta 3 used Armor in anyway. I have always respected the individuality of the galaxy we play in, and always try to update new tastes with my fellow tailor and crafters.

i sure hope we see less of this in the future.

p.s. they could always just make 3 differnt sets of armor, with the same stats, so atleast people could mix and match or just not always wear the same thing cuase tis stronger. ya know

Amen to that. Or when the armosmith is crafting comp armor they can cchoose from a variety of styles, so while it still reads as comp it'll look different.

Alas I'll probalby need to use it, but hey, eventually I'll just get Mandolorian armor anyways. MUAH HA! XD

Ya know at 1st I thought the same thing. Being interested primarily in the combat aspects of JtL I felt kinda jipped. That and they should've provided something for the 1yr vets. This reward is something for all of the classes. The artisan/entertainer crowd is probably the least vocal, but has received almost no attention and no quests for a year now with the exception of a few schematics and RIS. Can't really see myself spending alot of time piloting this craft, but it'll enable the vets to transport their buds around the galaxy without waiting for a shipwright to construct a YT-1300 for them, so overall I think this is a good reward that spans the whole community. The only thing I'm concerned about is the space left on the datapad. I've got several droids, faction pets, mounts, and three vehicles on there now.

How much space are the spacecraft going to take up?

I can't wait. Finally I don't have to worry about ships being stupidly expensive when the expansion comes out, as I'll have my own.

Of course, they're bound to give everyone who buys the expansion a ship anyway, otherwise who would buy the expansion? Maybe we'll end up with two to choose from, right off the bat.

I understand that everyone will receive a minimalist ship based on their faction, Imperial, Rebel or Neutral.

This ship will be 'slightly' upgradeable, but won't be something that someone will want to fly 'forever', unless they really want to have a challenge...

Anyway, it is designed to let everyone get out into space and get started, at the very least. I am pretty sure that within a few days(?), based on the 'no-life but the SWG Grind' that some people seem to have, we will see just about every ship available, of course insanely expensive, on the market.

As for myself, I will be quite happy to challenge myself by sticking the 'base' ship, unless it is SERIOUSLY designed to suck or fly the Luxury Yacht, at least until I will be able to craft my own higher end vessels.

Yeah, everybody gets one instant, loser, pitiful ship that is non-customizable. Those of us who are subscribed for 6 consecutive months by the time JtL releases (pretty much everybody subscribed now) also gets the SoroSuub Personal Luxury Yacht 3000 ... I'll be flying that, and saving my money for a nice little Z-95 ... I like Z-95's...

I want to fly it and decorate it.. I may even get rid of my "decorations" house that has all my quest loot items displayed.. It will not, however, be my combat vessel for running missions etc. Just for fun and travel..

I saw a intrest use of it, besides just flying around.

I will go shipwright and in my book it will be a lovly place to show off my wares for special costumers. A invitation for a joy ride with some mates flying around with diffrent types of ship, so my costumers can see how they look in action.

/raiseshand I want to fly it, it'll be nice to have something luxurious to fly about in with friends, not just a grimy(yet uber) freighter, lol. I really hope we'll be able to upgrade the Sorosuub, so we can actually defend ourselves if we're ambushed by NPC pirates...

I'm pretty sure I didn't purchase World of Star Warscraft, but I may be mistaken...
