I have not seen this book , but if im not mistaken wasn't the v-wing used in the battle of calamari as an airspeeder type craft ?(featured in the essential guide to vehicles and vessels, and the rogue squadron game for Nintendo 64)

Didnt SOE say no force powers in space? Then why did I see a screenshot of a jedi fighter using force lightning? well, while were on track, how about giving us droid engineers the ability to make Battle droids and JUST MOVE THE TIM SWG TAKES PLACE BACK TO EP3!?! I find all the prequel stuff that is in a game based on the orignal movies very out of place.

The v-wing is for atmospheric flight only, like the snowspeeder, and therefore will never be used in JTL.
It was used in the Battle of Mon Calamari, against the World Devastators.
They use a pair of special blasters which can be set to rapid fire for a short amount of time, and are very quick and agile, with light armor. One direct hit is usually enough and the cockpit is exposed so there is a low pilot survival rate. They have a scramjet installed to get out of a sticky situation quick.
Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels. its a PWN book
If v-wings are used with the Victory Class Star Destroyers in EPIII then they are different V-Wings. here is the first paragraph from The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, written by Bill Smith, Illustrated by Doug Chiang, Schematics by Troy Vigil.
"Slayn & Korpil V-wing Airspeeder
The New Republic's V-wing airspeeder fills the need for a true atmospheric fighter craft. These airspeeders played an important role in the New Republic's defense of the planet Mon Calamari. The airspeeder and transport system were devised by the Verpine Slayn and Korpil colonies, which designed teh wildly successful B-wing starfighter. Since its introduction into the New Republic Navy, the V-wing has been successful in over a dozen battles."
so erm... ya are you sure they were called v-wings? maybe they just look like em lol
