last night i noticed for the first time on my x-wing. there is a spot for modifed under cargo hold. i havent seen it before. I was under the inpresion that the modifeds would be completely different ships not currents ships with the modifed part thrown in. This is on the live serve on bria.
anyone else seen this

Shipwrights are showing new schematics on Live too, including "body modification kits" which are winglets and fins, it looks like. They're what probably goes in that extra slot.
Only for certain starships though. Kimo, Ryhkx, TIE adv, x-wing, Z-95.

i read somewhere that the sythe gets the mod to. I hope so i have to break it out to see if that spot is there

I Love my X-Wing, the ones that appear in the movies (except for the crapy look like engine -i hope this change-). Im wondering if they will force me to add to my ship that winglets or whatever they were, to be competitive; i hope not.

Yeah pretty much.
Off the top of my head theres two types of modfiications in my crafting tool
Winglets and strakes
Strakes are for xwing and z96.
winglets appear to be for the T/A, Kimogilla, and Rhyxirk.
Whatever these modfications do exacty is anyones guess, but what im thinking these components are like.... i dunno skill taps youd put in armor. I'll bet theres a + some stat and - some other stat.
When you think about it, theres only three stats associated with a chassis:
- Hit points
- Energy
- Mass
My hunch is that strakes give a bonus to mass, and winglets a bonus to energy. If true, at first glance this might be considered kinda cheesy, "hey they get more mass and all i get is a energy bonus!?!". But from a PvP standpoint, this could be huge. It means you can probably use a MK 1 reactor and still be able to run EO4.
Just a guess, i really don't know what they;ll do.
