I should say first that I am using a modem to play JTL. Usually everything isfine but at times the NPC ships fly around super fast. It's like watching a humming bird fly around the screen and it's impossible to hit them when that happens. Is this a bug or is it the fact that I'm on dialup? If its the latter then I might as well give up trying to play.

maybe its because the slow internet conection cant keep up with the ships..so when they are flying from point A to point C...when there at C in real time..on your screen it looks like there in B and then it goes fast to catch up with the real time speed
just a thoguht..dont have this prob myself...and im no computer wiz

I had the NPC ships humming around too.
After unchecking the background patching (BITS) in launcher options,
the NPC ships were normal again.
