good idea!
maybe not so detailed as actually looking at your ship..but how about a building with starship terminals in it!!!

I like this idea too...
As mayor of my city many people have been asking me to go ahead and place one and I have to keep telling them that they do not exist yet.

A better idea would be to add in factionally-aligned hangars on Strategic Bases, whenever the hell they get around to finally adding them. Master Chef pilots with no ground-based combat skills need to have someplace relatively secure to overt and launch from to PvP.

It would really be a nice addition to the game and we could display ourpride and joyin a "car show" like fashion. we should also be able to customise them like the mechs in armored Core. I want screenshot of all my guild buddies and me standing next to our customised alliance fighters. That would be kick ass

FYI : This was discussed with the dev's, petitions were signed, and many threads were made suggesting it.
The answer was : "Ain't going to happen. You have to travel to a Star Port to access your ship and to travel. That's why they are called Star Ports in the first place."
You can always dream though.

Why should I give up on the idea? If the customer wants it and LucusArts/SOE wants to make cash then they will do it or lose people to games like WOW, FF11 ect.... who actually listen to the customers and give them what they want.
Anyways the Devs say alot of things and most of it never happens....so why believe them when they say they wont do it. All it takes is an excecutive to say hey were losing money bring out the magic frogs and lets start testiing the servers for the new garages and updated jtls content to bring people back
