Is there an official source with the possible range of starting stats for each starship?

At least max speed, mass, acceleration, etc...

None really. What you get when you buy a chassis is just a shell, minus the weapons engines reactor etc... There is no stock speed, because there is no stock engine.Ships pretty much vary with whatever you put on em.

From what I heard there is an intrinsic speed multiplier to each ship though, and I think it's the same for other stats.

Like putting the same engine on an X-Wing then on an A-Wing will give a very different topspeed.

That's what I heard from several people (don't have JTL yet).
