Thread: I would really like to be able to fly in the atmosphere

Even if it's only as a way to transport ourselves, I'd like a more seamless integration between planets and space, so that we could:
- Land spaceships on the surface. The restrictions for landing could be similar to placing structures.
- Fly into space from the atmosphere.
- Fly from space into the atmosphere (and land).
I'm willing to compromise with a lot. I can live with no combat in the atmosphere, even a cutscene / scripted transition between the atmosphere and space. But the current loading screen, and the lame "travel" button, brings space as close to the ground game as Coruscant from the outer rim.
