Almost every other game you play based in space with lasers has weapons that alter their angle of fire so that the lasers converge (i.e. meet up, intersect, etc) at the range your current target is from you. How hard would that be for this game? (mostly a problem in the Xwing)
Just a thought.

Your acutally better off without convergence. As often as its commented on, it should be in the FAQ.
The thing about JTL, is that in a ship like an Xwing, 1 gun, produces 2 bolts. If any one of those bolts hit, you do full damage for that gun.
So you have a standard pattern as thus:
Gun 1A........Gun 2A
Gun 2B........Gun 1B
Say if each gun is 3000 damage.
If only Bolt 1A hit, you do 3000 damage.
If only bolt 2B hit, you do 3000 damage
If bolts 1A and 2B hit, you do 3000 X2 for 6000 damage.
If bolts 1A, 1B, 2A, and 2B hit, you still do, 3000 damage X 2 for 6000 damage.
Now the icing on the cake is for reasons unknown but to the devs, they took what should have been a 2nd missle mount, and made it a 3rd gun. So the layout is more like this:
1A........2A
..3A....3b..
2B........1B
Same rules apply for the 3rd gun. So what you have here, is basically a shotgun.

Convergence wasn't implemented for 2 reasons. The first the above poster mentioned. The other is so you can actually dodge some lasers (but not many) by rolling.
