i bought those new side strakes for my x-wing, and surprised to see it has 0 mass 
does it enhance missle launching?
manuvorability?
speed?
it doesn't say

They enhance appearance, in theory. In my opinion fattening the body of the Xwing ruins one of the cleanest, most elegant parts of the ship. No effect on performance whatsoever.

To be fair, they can be disabled, right? So that 50 armor and 150 HP or whatever on them is basically a free 200 points of damage you can absorb. Granted, it's no sure thing that damage will hit your strakes rather than a real component, but it should happen sometimes.
To be double fair, this is such a miniscule advantage it's really more of a philosophical point than a tactical one, but it's worth mentioning. Sort of.

Same with the TIE advanced, although the advanced actually look really cool with em.

So the strakes don't add mass to the ship? Geez that's the one thing they stated about the upgrades that I was looking forward to?
If this is true then they added something that has absolutely no use! That sux!

Why the hell thos things cannot be removed from the Advanced X Wing?. The are ugly. And not from the movie cannon. It is like "oh your star wars desings are good, but not for our star wars game".
