Hiya,
I've had JTL on pre-order from amazon.co.uk for awhile now and apparently release date is 5th november for the UK. As I've said, it's been on pre-order awhile but am I still gonna get the new speeder or is that gonna be only available for US pre-order players to have? If anyone has an answer to this then i'd like to know.

Unfortunately, the key required for the speeder is in the beta disk, which only ships to the US pre-order people. So you have to live in america to get it. It sucks I know, I'm canadian, even we don't get it.

Sucks? big time... Wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't been playing SWG for 6 months already, if I hadn't refered 3 of my friends to the game or if I hadn't been on the JTL beta but it's like loyal customers being cut off just because we don't live in the host country.
Kinda like Athens not handing out medals to the US winners in the olympics just because they're not native.
We pre-order and do everythin it asks to get the reward but don't... Sucks? as said... big time.

The deal was only with EB Games and Game-Spot to begin with, and I don't think those guys ship to UK.... and if they did, it was over the 15th

If you had had pre-ordered from Gamestop or another site (can't remember which one ATM) you would have got one,I pre-ordered from Gamestop sometime in May, I will be getting the disk, a good few days later but hey, at least I get a very slow speeder to show for it....
To be honest, you will forget all about it once you can finally have huge scraps over Tatooine and Corellia and such. My personal favorite is still Lok, for us Imperials at least, plenty of pilots ready to die when you line your TIE's sights over them, we need to keep Nyms fighters in their place.

I pre-ordered mine from EBGames.com, but apparently not soon enough.
There was NO mention about this, as the page STILL called it a "pre-order", and SoE's site didn't mention that there was a need for a beta disc...
All I managed to do was waste $10 for shipping and delay the arrival of the product.
Yet ONE MORE thing leaving a bad taste in my mouth (see my posts about the "crash during scan" bug AND the "can't update files on new installation" bug-I've played since day 2 of "live" but manage to get EVERY major bug).

Calomac, I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and my brother preordered 2 copies of JTL from EBGames. Hetold mehe has the beta disks (with the Flash Speeder) in his possession already. He even ordered them on the last day beta ended, the 22nd i think...

That's strange. I placed my order at 10am Pacific time on the 21st, and I've been told by EBGames that it does NOT have the beta disc as they ran out...

The speederwas availabe internationally as well, but you had to pre-orderJtL from gamestop to get it. gamestop used to have a special pre-order packagespecifically forinternational customers which includes a bonus disc containing the key for the speeder.

Interesting information in the email that I just received from EBGames.com (I DO have to give them credit for an impressively quick response!).
Important Program Restrictions Regarding the Jump to Lightspeed beta:
- Participation in the beta is limited-only while supplies last. This offer is only available to purchasers of the official pre-order box (which includes CD with Jump to Lightspeed installer and Access Key sticker).
- Must be a subscriber in "good standing" of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided.
- Broadband connection is required.
- Beta period is defined as October 8, 2004, through October 22, 2004. Those trying to enter before or after the defined beta period will not be allowed access.
From the copy of my receipt:
"Here is the record of your transaction for your order placed on 10/21/2004 10:36:18 AM."
It was NOT listed on their website as having "run out". It was still called "pre-order".
