Anyone got a clue what planet that is? Its full of metropolis cities you can see all the lights.

Well from reading the books the planet in the Kessel system is also Kessel.

Actualy the spice mines are on amoon sized asteroid devoid of anything on the surface. Due to the fact that they send prisoners to kessel to mine the spice, i wouldn't think it would look like a metropolice.

Yeah, Kessel is an asteroid like body. I dont even this it is spherical, but ohh well, what are yo ugonna do.

Yeah the size of the apparent metropolis is way out of scale for what should be there if indeed that is Kessel. In the books the planetoid only has a minimal artificial atmosphere and the only visible being made features were like a guard house, I think a barracks, and one or two landing pads. The idea was if the prisoners escaped they would suffocate outside the tunnels long before they could reach any means of getting off planet.

I forget which book they spent a lot of time on Kessel in, but I think I am remembering most of the details correctly.

it was the books that revolved around the prototype deathstar and adamaral dahlaa (sp). it was hidden betweenthe 5-7 black holes in the system.

I think it was in the heir to the empire series, second book or something. Dang i have to read the books again.

Yes Kessel is where the spice Glitterstim is mined any the only place found to have that spice. Also where Han Solo found Kyp Durron. This story can be found in the Jedi Academy Trilogy.

As mentioned, Kessel was fully described in the Jedi Academy Trilogy by Kevin J Anderson. Kessel's surface is devoid of life. Only a few structures are seen from space. The place the prisoners were kept was deep underground. There should be no lights visible from space like we see in JTL. There should be about 97 more black holes in the sector too.
