Thread: MP ships : How about reload missiles tubes in space?

When you board a multiplayer ship, you can wander around your ship, sit somewhere, use the turrets, repair brocken components...

But why can't you reload your missile tubes if you got ammo in your inventory?

Would be easy to implement : add the ordonnance acces panel (so you can also repair it) and add the option to "reload" the tube if you have ammo in your inventory

Would certainly give your engineers something more to do than just fix things. I like this idea.

Don't forget to put countermeasures in there as well .

If they put reload capabilities for engineers, along with some equipment for MP ships, i'd be a very happy bunny.

Agreed. One you run out of missles piloting a MP ship gets kinda borring. Allowing reload would keep the pilot happy, and would make the crews job a little less boring.

Agreed, this would certainly make the MP ship experience more enjoyable.

Heavily AGREE......

I have been hoping for this for a while, not just because firing all three missles at once lookssweet..! but it would give my engineer something more to do!

Overpowered compared to having 4 people in B-wings firing off missiles 4x as fast?

So you want MP ships being able to fight off others even when outnumbered?

Why not just give the MP ships 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 more weapons and maybe a insta-kill-opponent button?

IMO any ship outnumbered should have a hard time, and in ur case almost impossible if you dont like it why not bring more ships

Pytting that is foolish logic my friend.

An MP ship with lets say 3 players on it, needs to be as tough or slightly tougher then those 3 players in seperate ships. Why you may ask? Because if they arent then MP ships are not a viable option to use in combat which means these MP ships would be a huge waste of time and effort. Players pretty much only use the best combat options avaialble, ignoring the rest (ie; comp armor, TKM, etc) and as it stands the negatives far outweigh the positives for using the MP ships in a serious combat role and thats not good. There needs to be a reason (beyond roleplaying) for using these MP ships that makes up for the severe drawbacks they currently have. And yes it is possible under certain circumstances with an EXCEPTIONAL crew to use these in a limited combat role at present but you do so knowing that you would be much better off all in seperate ships, which is a bummer. =/

To comment on the original post however... I think players should absolutely be able to reload missile and countermeasures from the inside while in space. It makes perfect sense.

I wonder how the U.S battle ships do it out on open water? after all they are MP ships lol

And in space, in a game... same rules should apply.

Seriously I like the idea
