Thread: Where can i loot the KSE Firespray disks?

Hi wanted to ask if someone knows where to loot the disks from,

They are not looted. They are generated randomly from the reverse engineering process on looted starship components, shipwright only skill. I've personally re'ed around 1000 parts and gotten squat thusfar...
Maybe someone can answer what I have been wondering: when you DO finally get a disk to pop out, what happens to the actual components that were being re'ed? Do they go poof? Makes me nervous sometimes when re'ing valuable items for others.

You get the disk and the RE'd part.
It's like the schematic fragment was stuck in one of the parts and REing them made it pop out

Firespray discs come from reverse engineering any looted ship component, not just the Kuat Systems Engineering loot. Sorry for the wrong information I provided.
/edit I was in error stating that Firespray frgaments only come from KSE loot. I have changed my post to reflect this.

Well...
I've heard conflicting reports from other SWs. Being that I have REd every <censored> part I get my hands on and still haven't gotten 1 bloody fragment, I can't confirm. In Beta it was only the Kuat or KSE parts.

This is untrue. I have obtained close to 60% of my disks from RE'ing parts thare not Kuat. I have even gotten a disk from RE'ing a LvL 1 (so single item in tool) armor sed the was SourSub or something.
There is alot of info on this in the shipwright forums

/Confirm You do NOT need to use any KSE parts to drop a KSE schematic part, make sure you have room in your inventory to get it though..... Full Inventory=No extra loot!

Yes any re'd space loot can give ya one. As a matter of fact im only re'n level 1 and level 2 loots and have gotten 2 disks so far out of about 250 RE jobs. Neither of them came from Kuat loots.

On Chimaera they currently go away for about 3mill now.
I had 6 uses on the first, 5 on the second and now on the third I had 4 uses, hope that this is pure coincidence
