Didn't know where to post this really, so here it goes

I think having the yacht use up a lot is perfectly reasonable. Lots are used to limit the amount of land area consumption and item storage per person. While regrettable, those are necessary limitations.

What I don't like, is not being able to decorate my house/ship/PA Hall, etc, the way I'd like to, because of item limitations.

What I propose is that player be allowed to allocate extra lots to a structure/ship, to allow them to store more items.

I'd love to set up my yacht as my home. I'd like to store my clothes, tools, and weapons there, as well as have the room to decorate. I could pour all my lots into that single ship, and make it the way I want. I could replace my large home on Naboo, as well as my smaller houses with that single ship. I'd not be taking up any real-estate on the planet, and I wouldn't be increasing my item storage. I'd simply be concentrating it in one place.

This would give the player much more flexibility (PA Halls where every room is actually used?), free up some land on the planets (as people concentrate their holdings into fewer buildings), enhance the enjoymentof the interior decorators out there, and cause little or no database enlargement.

The only (possible) detriment that I can foresee would be a decreased market for the larger homes. People will still want them for prestige and presentation's sake, for sure, but I would guess that many would forego the extra maintainance costs to go with smaller buildings.

Anyhow...here's hoping.....
