Thread: Why cant spacestations repair you to 100% sometimes?

I got blown up the other day by a tier IV guy after hypering and when I got back at the station he said that he could only repair me 75%, I clicked repair again after that and he said something about trying to wait and he'll see if he can get the resources to fix my ship?
Whats the deal with this? And do they sell repair parts on the ground to use or do shipwrights ahve to repair the ship?

I had this happen one time, at the dant space station.
I even picked repair all, and it repaired up to 80%.
Its only happened one time, so maybe its a bug?

Well I dont think its a bug because the space station said that he could only repair it to that amount. Maybe its jsut a random thing. Im gonna fly to other stations and see if I can get repaired

I think the only stations that can repair you 100% are those above Naboo, Corellia, and Tatooine. I think the rest can only do partial repairs due to their remoteness in the galaxy....hard to get all the parts needed and all.
I think it was done to keep people going to the 3 starter planets on occasion.

I ahve gotten full repairs from dant, and lok.

The farther off, outta-the-way stations have limited supplies. So it's a content thing. Dath station only repairs 75% as well.

Hmm. I get partial repairs from Dantooine, and Lok I think. I wonder if some are faction-related. For example Freelance get full repairs at Dantooine, while other factions get partial repairs.

Well, I'm Freelance, and I get partial repairs from Dant. I hadn't heard of anyone getting full repairs from there.

That was just an example. I too thought that Dant and the other non-starter planet stations provide only partial repairs, but someone else in the thread said they get full repairs from Dantooine and Lok. /shrug

Perhaps it depends on the amount of damage sustained? At Lok I'm always able to repair 100% but I'm in a Z-95. Maybe the station can only repair up to say 3000 points of damage, but I've never sustained more than 2000 (just random numbers). But someone with a higher level ship can sustain 4000 points of damage and therefore can only be repaierd to 75%. Just a thought.

How does this incomplete repair work with component decay?
I notice that my components are wearing down by some amount... does this mean that I have to fly back to a core world to get fixed up to maximum, or is that lost condition gone forever?
Or do I need a repair kit? (are there risks to repairing items with kits?)

If you read the text they say, certain space stations "are not equipped" to handle full repairs.
Dantooine is one of those stations. Endor and Dathormir are the same way I believe.

when will people learn...
the places like yavin 4, dath, dant dont have proper cities and space ports,why? because they are poorly inhabited planets, they dont have proper cities because they have dangerous things in it and stuff so they wouldnt have proper resources i supose
